Troop 50 is a Scout-led, Scout-run organization that empowers boys to be leaders in the Troop. They can take on positions such as Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader and various other leadership positions. The skills and knowledge our Scouts learn will last a lifetime and enable them to become leaders in their communities and country.

Scouting is a values-based program, and the Scout Oath, Scout Law and Scout Motto help to instill the values of good character, personal fitness, self-reliance, spiritual development, and respect for others

Scouting teaches skills in a fun environment that will last a lifetime -  outdoor skills, interpersonal skills, citizenship, and first aid skills  through rank and merit badge advancement. 

A major component of Scouting is an appreciation of the outdoors through camping, hiking, and more. The Leave No Trace philosophy ensures that we minimize impact on the environment while imparting a

deep respect for nature.
